Teeth

I am having the recurring theme of losing my teeth in my dreams. While the dream is always different, losing teeth is always the same. This last dream was so realistic that when I woke, I was completely shocked to learn that I still have my teeth.

Perhaps I should just stop sleeping altogether.

Stopping sleeping is not a healthy alternative--but neither is letting this ruin what sleep you do get. An unrestful sleep has the same results on your body as no sleep.

I have been trying to find a website that offers dream therapy... where you can talk to someone and relay the dreams to them and they can help you determine what they stem from and how to correct it. The dream interpretation sites don't seem to offer what you are looking for. Unfortunately, I am coming up empty as well.

I used to have recurring theme dreams as a child -- that my mother was trying to kill me (either directly or indirectly by not stopping someone else from doing it)... still have no idea where that came from but I haven't had one of those in a long time so I have no idea what cured that...

Sorry this long post offers no help to you. :-(

Doesn't the teeth thing have something to do with unresolved issues? I'm trying to remember. I thought you used to have books on dream interpretation...

I used to have books on the subject, yes. All they told me about this "theme" is that it is a fear of growing older.

Seeing as I am comfortable with growing older, I think it must mean something else.

Probably growing older and advancing -- the conversion to marriage and possible insecurities/cold feet?

I can only guess. I don't have a book on it.

I too remember something about the losing of teeth being about unresolved issues.

A quick google search shows many sites stating that it has to do with "fear of change" or "fear of failure." "Fear of financial loss" and "fear of knowingly making a lifechanging mistake" are also mentioned.

In fact, it seems that there are many 'theories' as to what losing you teeth means, but they all seem to relate to fear.

Hmmmm...
